Speedy Hire – Plant Hire Company

A JCB Mini Digger was reported to be missing by Speedy Hire, Hatton Cross Depot on Wednesday the 1st of February 2005.
The unit reported back with a cell position just South East of Harrow and a recovery agent was deployed to the area.
Following the Signal the agent located the stolen asset at the rear of terraced houses. To remain covert the agent remained on the street and contacted Speedy Hire who arrived on site. Shortly thereafter the RF signal disappeared meaning the machine was on the move.
The agent followed the unit until it stopped just North West of Enfield, approximately 16km away from the 1st find location.
The signal lead to Plumridge farm behind a workshop cabin on the farm. Police were contacted and arrived within 35 minutes. Police located the digger in the yard and further searches lead to the recovery of a Speedy Power Compressor.
The police sealed off the area and made 2 arrests on site.

On a full search of the yard the police also recovered 2 mini compressors, 2 plant trailers, a 3 ton dumper and a stand up road roller on a trailer.
