Event
The client had two vehicles hijacked at the same time.
At 18:25 the control room was notified that two of the client’s vehicles were hijacked and that one was fitted with an MtrackPro GPS unit.
The unit was stationary and updating with GPS lock in Vosloosrus. The vehicle had no cargo on board and had the company logo on its doors.
The recovery team was immediately dispatched.
At 19:05 the agents reported that they had a visual on the vehicle and were waiting for SAPS back up as there were a lot of suspects around the vehicle.
The number plates on the vehicle had been changed and the company logos on the sides had been removed.
The second vehicle with a competitor’s tracking device fitted was never recovered.
