2015/09/15. Client called in at 10.54 to say that one of their dealer’s vehicles was hijacked at their branch in Strydom Park. We placed the unit into alarm for recovery.
The vehicle was a 2015 Silver Toyota Hilux. As soon as the unit was in alarm the agents were dispatched immediately. The vehicle was reporting in Lenasia, but kept moving towards Soweto.
The ETS Control Room was then able to assist the agents with a Google Geolocation position.
ETS dispatched a second team that were nearby.
The agents reported that they had a visual on the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in an underground parking at the Trade Route Mall.
False number plates had already been put on the vehicle and there was no licence disk.
Once handed over to SAPS the agents returned to base.
